What is the difference between custom orthotics and shoe inserts usual?
Regular insoles designed to provide a cushion effect and provide shock absorption. They may feel uncomfortable at first, but it runs out quickly. They are not designed to correct over-pronation, which is a condition that includes the arch down and rolling into the foot and ankle. Custom orthotics, however, is designed to improve and optimize the function of the foot. Regular insoles can also have arch support, but they tend to be mostly made of soft material and therefore, the support they provide is often too weak to be of any benefit.
